ABL Rehab Inc. was established in 1997 for the purpose of providing excellence in medical care coordination services. The letters “ABL” are an acronym of the Italian expression “a bocca lupo.” Translated, this means “the mouth of the wolf” and symbolizes protection and good fortune. In Italian folklore, the wolf is respected as a protector and nurturer, becoming aggressive only when necessary. It is this philosophy (see “Mission Statement”), which is utilized in transitioning Injured Persons from being “disabled” to “able,” especially in Worker's Compensation claims. We are able to affect positive outcomes in less time, due mainly to the working relationships established over the years with the various medical providers in the Tidewater area. This allows us the ability to provide immediate intervention through effective communication with the appropriate persons involved. While committed to achieving the best results possible, through utilization of pro-active tasks only, we have kept our fees below industry standards. The customer will receive immediate attention on all matters due to the Nurse being available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
